Australia Retail Sales Data Due On Friday

Australia will on Friday release July figures for retail sales, headlining a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. Retail sales are tipped to climb 3.3 percent on month after gaining 2.7 percent in June.

South Korea will see July data for current account; in June, the current account surplus was $6.88 billion.

Singapore will release July figures for retail sales; in June, retail sales surged 51.1 percent on month and plummeted 27.8 percent on year.

The Philippines will provide July numbers for industrial production and August figures for inflation. In June, industrial production was down 22.5 percent on year. In July, overall inflation was up 0.5 percent on month and 2.7 percent on year, while core CPI jumped an annual 3.3 percent.
