European Economics Preview: Eurozone Final Factory PMI Data Due

Final Purchasing Managers’ survey results from euro area and the UK are due on Monday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, PMI survey results are due from Poland, Turkey and Hungary.

At 3.15 am ET, IHS Markit is scheduled to issue Spain’s manufacturing PMI data. The indicator is seen at 38.0 in May versus 30.8 in April.

Half an hour later, Italy’s factory PMI data is due. Economists forecast the manufacturing PMI to improve to 37.1 in May from 31.1 in April.

Thereafter, final PMI survey data is due from France at 3.50 and Germany’s PMI at 3.55 am ET.

At 4.00 am ET, IHS Markit publishes euro area final PMI data. The factory PMI is expected to rise to 39.5 in May, as initially estimated, from 33.4 a month ago.

At 4.30 am ET, UK Markit/CIPS final PMI data is due. The final PMI reading is seen at 40.7 versus 32.6 in April and the flash estimate of 40.6.
